I just gave a presentation about Charles Darwin to a high school biology class, so I have some images here that i thought you might want to have to put up on your site as a "cool story" to go along with a photo of the coin. There's a picture of me at the Darwin exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, as well as a photo of our family tree book that proves we're related to Uncle Charlie (we're not in the book itself, but I've scanned the page with Charlie on it). I'm his great great great grand niece. I've just emailed my cousins to see if they can send us a few more coins. It might take a while for them to collect them, but we will be back! My sisters and my mom are insanely jealous of my new Darwin pendant. :)

The “Loon” just arrived and it is beautiful.
The coin is a Christmas present for my wife. In 1980 we were in Canada and she got a Loon in change on her first purchase.
The clerk told her the tradition was she had to keep it for GOOD LUCK.
Last month the coin came up missing in here coin purse and she was devastated. Thinking back she had dropped some coins in a store and must have not recovered the coin from the floor.
She will be very excited to have her Loon back and in such a nice presentation.
