We would love to meet you & show you how we create our cut coin jewelry. In the meantime, this site will enable you to purchase from our fantastic selection online, at your convenience.
What we do
International Cut Coins creates beautiful hand cut jewelry out of coinage from around the world.
Our business history
International Cut Coins has been creating cut coin jewelry by hand for over 32 years, with more than a quarter million pieces sold. Cutting coins is perfectly legal. Section 331, title 18 of the U.S. code, prohibits, among other things, the fraudulent alteration and mutilation of U.S. and foreign coins. For example, it is illegal to alter the date, or mintmark of an inexpensive common coin so that it has the date and mintmark of a valuable rare coin. This statute does not prohibit the mutilation of coins if done without fraudulent intent, or if the coins are not used fraudulently.
About our staff
We, Sid & Lee, started creating cut coin jewelry more than a quarter century ago in Sacramento California. We started at the local flea market, and graduated to art & craft shows, traveling the United States. We are now exhibiting our beautiful cut coins in out door craft shows and festivals.
What makes us unique
Coins have been used as jewelry for centuries. Our business takes this tradition to the next level. Each piece is individually created to enhance the beauty of the coin, and makes a perfect gift for any occasion.
Many or our hand cut coins, besides necklaces, can be turned into earrings, tie tacs, cuff links, and belt buckles. International Cut Coins
